This Highlands Ranch home suffered granule loss and several cracked shingles after a spring hailstorm. Our inspection found soft spots in the decking near the north valley, so a full tear-off and replacement was recommended over a patch repair to keep the warranty intact.

Our process

We removed the damaged shingles and underlayment down to the deck, replaced two sheets of rotted plywood, and installed synthetic underlayment with ice and water shield along the eaves and valleys before laying architectural shingles rated for high-wind regions.

The full replacement was completed in three days, including cleanup and a magnetic sweep of the yard for stray nails. The homeowners also opted for upgraded ridge venting to improve attic airflow going forward.

The homeowners have since referred two neighbors for roof inspections after this storm, both of whom also qualified for insurance-covered replacements. Stormcrest Roofing handled the insurance paperwork directly with the adjuster, keeping the process simple from start to finish.
